I am one of those people who have seen only the footprints of a lynx – on a muddy track in the Parque Nacional de Doñana in Spain.  The footprints were huge – and appropriate for something the size of the stuffed lynx in the museum at the Palacio del Acebrón.  One day, I would like to meet the real, live creature, but for now, I’ll have to be content with this post from the European Wilderness Society.

(PS The Spanish/Iberian Lynx is now considered a separate species to the Eurasian Lynx, but I’m sure it would have the same sentiments.)
